We've had many inquiries from our customers about how to change the password on their ON-NET
account. So, we've put together this little tutorial to help you out.
First, You will need to locate a telnet program.
Windows 95, users have one installed with the operating system and can be started by clicking on
the Start, Run, and type "telnet sam.on-net.net" and click OK, After you are dialed into the
system here at ON-NET.
Windows 3.+ users need to locate a telnet program on the internet, download and install it. then follow that programs particular install and operating instructions to
connect to "sam.on-net.net".
After you click OK to connect to "sam.on-net.net" you will get a prompt that says "Login:".
At the prompt you need to type in your username or your login name (same thing), and press ENTER.
You will get a "Password:" prompt.
Insert your current password keeping in mind that all Unix systems are case sensitive, and
press ENTER.
At the "$" prompt you need to type "passwd" and press ENTER, then follow the on-screen
instrtuctions to change your password.
When finished, close telnet window and connection window and you can log back on with new
password.
